Bill Abbott BILL ABBOTT, '92 MBA, Principal, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Chicago
Bill Abbott is an Advisory Principal and co-leads PriceWaterhouseCoopers' US Information Advantage and Applied Analytics proposition. As part of his role, he launched PWC's applied analytics center in Mumbai, India. Most of Bill's work focuses on helping companies with complex marketing and operations opportunities, where the intelligent use of information and analytics can be leveraged to make better decisions and drive results. Recent project efforts include predictive modeling around drivers of retail loss, media mix attribution and optimization, lifecycle marketing and CRM strategy, contact strategy optimization, applied demand forecasting, segmentation, quantitative performance driver analysis, and churn analytics. He has served clients in healthcare, communications, insurance, financial services, and entertainment industries and co-authored five papers on applied analytics and information management in his 19 years of consulting experience.
Mary Delaney MARY DELANEY, '86 BS, CEO, Luceo Solutions LLC, a Careerbuilder Company, Chicago
As CEO, Mary is responsible for the global leadership of Luceo, drawing on 25 years of building profitable, high growth businesses from start-up phase to industry leadership positions. Prior to Luceo, Mary served in several key executive roles at CareerBuilder. As Careerbuilder's Chief Sales Officer, Mary was charged with building and leading the sales and corporate marketing strategies that played a key role in helping CareerBuilder.com dominate the online recruitment industry. In 2007, Mary started Personified, a new CareerBuilder company specializing in talent acquisition and recruitment consulting solutions. Many of the solutions created by Personified, including social media, branding, recruitment intelligence, process consulting, and talent sourcing solutions, quickly became significant revenue vehicles for CareerBuilder. Mary is a member of the School of Informatics Dean's Advisory Council.
Brad Gessler BRAD GESSLER, '04 BS, Founder, Poll Everywhere, San Francisco
Brad launched his career at Deloitte Consulting in Chicago at the age of 19 after graduating from Indiana University in 2004 with a BS in Informatics. After three years of management consulting, he started working on an idea for a new company. In 2008, that idea became Poll Everywhere and received funding from Y Combinator, a world-renowned seed fund. Brad and his co-founders have since grown the company into the world's largest cloud-based mobile surveying platform that makes it possible for anybody to create American Idol-style polls inside PowerPoint using standard web and mobile-phone technology.
